Dog Days—Part IV

Above: More in my series of practice dog sketches. I used the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen for these on a 9 x 12 inch page in a Fabriano Venezia journal. (Page is cropped for privacy.)

The ear of the little grey dog actually continued onto the other page, but here you get the idea. I'm still trying to push and see how quickly I can work. At some point I'm going to have to slow down a bit for accuracy. (Let's stop there, this might be my shortest post ever!)

    Roz, These drawings are so wonderful the cicles and lines you are showing to let me go beyond what Im doing. this helps so much you know Roz when your teaching yourself theres no one to help you with just these little lines or circles to get you started which helpyou along your drawing journey.

    Linda, I’m glad you found them helpful. Since I’m drawing fast here I’m not starting with the eye like I normally would, and then building out from there, I’m making a circle to contain a portion of the skull that I’m focusing on and the adding the outer boundaries and then filling in some minimal detail.
