Altering a Strathmore Wire-Bound Journal

January 13, 2011

Suzanne Hughes showed me the Strathmore Journal she'd been given at the MCBA Visual Journal Collective last week at Sketch Night at the Bell Museum. Frustrated by the small page size of the 5.5 x 8 inch wire-bound journal Suzanne did a bit of nip and tuck and created a journal with page sizes that suit her need for breathing room for her sketches and her need for portability. Go and check out her Strathmore journal conversion process on her blog Suzanne I Am.

Thanks for sharing the link. The process even looks doable for book binding avoidance types.

    Roz,
Great example of thinking outside the box and figuring out how to make something work rather than being cornered by a machine standard. Thanks for pointing me in her direction, opened my eyes and thinking.
