Testing gouache and water-soluble Pentel Brush Pen in the Handbook Watercolor Journal (approximately 8 inches square). Some stenciling is also used. I put color in the background because orange paint had seeped through from another spread and I thought orange everywhere drew the eye away from the seepage. Carl assured me all eyes would be on him so it wasn't necessary. He's been a little more full of himself since he returned.
