Crop Art Diary—Needs Your Images

Above: My Egyptian Beetle Box, entry in the 2002 Minnesota State Fair Crop Art Show. The pale seeds on the top surface are sorted amaranth. That's right: sorted! (The larger pale seeds on the side are millet because I ran out of time to sort more seeds!)

Do you make crop art? Do you know what crop art is? (It's the art of gluing seeds to a board to create an image.) For a group of Minnesotans it's a highlight of our year. We work on our projects (for many different categories: unpainted, shapes, painted, objects…) often all year long, so that in August we can deliver them to the State Fair Grounds in St. Paul, for display (and possible prizes) during the State Fair.
