Things Happen When You Sketch Directly In Ink

September 9, 2022

Things happen when you sketch directly in ink and you just have to learn to live with them. (Though you can do another sketch, or put in correction marks if that suits your purpose, I’m just saying…)

It doesn’t bother me that this sketch of a character actor gave him a cross-eyed view.

I love so much else about the sketch from the pursed lips to the curling hair, and that fun plaid tie.

My own eyes told my hand and brain to zig when they needed to zag. Next time.

Do take time to enjoy the foibles of your artwork. Then get back at it.
