Sewn On The Spine Class Registration Opens Today

September 5, 2020

Registration for my “Sewn-on-the-Spine” book binding class begins today. You can read more about the class on the registration page.

Also on the registration page you’ll find a link to a detailed supply list.

You can view me talking about the various qualities of this book in this video link.

Registration closes on October 2. (Usually around noon.)

There is introductory material available upon registration. All the binding lessons open on October 3 so that students can work at their own pace throughout the month. I’ll be checking on questions during that month to keep you working.

Students will have access to this course and all its materials until the platform closes on December 31, 2021 (14 months of access). You’ll have time to return, review, and learn the ins and outs of this book structure.

All skill levels are welcome. This structure is something that beginning book binding students as well as experienced binders will enjoy making.

This will be my last online session for this class.

In this class you’ll learn how to make sturdy and elegant hard-cover journals with art papers.

This structure is perfect for journal artists who love to use fold outs, fold ups, and also insert lots of collage (even 3-dimensional elements) onto their mixed media journal pages.

Registration closes on October 2.

I hope that you’ll join me to learn this lovely structure so that you can start making journals that are as unique as your creative pages. Books that are strong and durable yet elegant.
