Draw the Same Person Over and Over, Especially if He Makes You Laugh

Comedian Ryan Stiles on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”

I’ve been thinking a lot about humor lately, and the need for it in daily life.

I try to get as much humor in my life as possible. Sometimes the only way it is possible is to find it on TV.

Everyone knows I love improv. I watch and rewatch episodes of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” frequently.

In 2019 I wasn’t able to get out because of the circumstances surrounding my eyes. I watched WLIIA a lot.

In the current global pandemic all non-essential workers have been staying in. It’s still a great time to watch this show. The CW has some new episodes; I’m happy—new episodes to watch over and over.

I think the world needs more improv. That’s going to be difficult to do in an art form that requires several individuals interacting with each other. In the meantime I can watch these shows. I think they might brighten your day too. (Who knows you might even “say yes and…” pick up some books on improv to learn more about this art form.)

Ryan Stiles with Colin Mochrie. (Who incidentally has a recurring role on “Murdoch Mysteries.”)

And another view of Ryan Styles—this time while I was testing a new color-ink brush pen.

And here’s a series of quick sketches I made this morning when I felt the need for a dose of laughter. That’s Ryan Stiles on the far right. He made Wayne Brady laugh so much just by standing still in a silly hat that Wayne couldn’t start the question round.
