In Context: Playing with Paint

December 16, 2019
Brush pen and watercolor sketch, with a a little bit of white gouache mixed into the red for pink. This is in a green-lined notebook where there are different grids on the pages.

Sometimes at the end of the day I just ant to sketch and move some paint around. The detail from today’s image shows the thickness of the pink paint I mixed. I remember with happiness pushing that paint around.

I used Schmincke Pan Watercolors to pull out the colors. I used a bit of Schmincke Titanium white gouache for the background and pink.

Detail where you can see some of the white gouache mixed with the red pigment.
