Examples of Sewn on the Spine Journals.

The registration for my online Sewn-on-the-Spine-Journal class is now open.

Go here to Register.

(The registration page  contains a link to the supply handout which you can download before you register.)

You can click on this link to watch a video in which I explain why I like this structure so much.

Class begins on Saturday, October 12

All lessons drop on Saturday, October 12 so you’ll be able to work at your own pace, but I’ll be available in class for the entire month, to answer your questions and keep you working.

Class includes video instructions for a square journal with a full cloth cover and a portrait journal with a cloth covered spine and decorative paper covered boards. Each uses a different stitch.

The videos for each structure are detailed and thorough.

In class you’ll learn how to tear paper for binding. After you’ve made your initial first project you’ll learn how to adapt and customize the book’s size. You’ll learn how to tear fold outs. You’ll learn how to use all sorts of different collage papers and scraps to make your own style of visual journal.

It’s a class packed with info that will have you making beautiful journals in no time.

You’ll have access to the class through December 31, 2020. You’ll be able to return to class and review and make more beautiful books sized the way you want them—because I teach you how to do that.

I hope that you’ll take this opportunity to learn this book structure.

This is the last online class I will be teaching in 2019. I currently have no plans to teach courses online in 2020.

Is your textures class still available?

Melanie, I won’t be teaching it again this year. I do not intend to teach anything online next year—though I’ve left my options open to change my mind in the fall of 2020.

Originally I had Textures on the schedule for this fall, but in June I had to take it off because of the results of my eye operations and a death in the family.

I’m sorry not to be able to work with you in this class fall. Thanks for your interest.

    Thank you for your reply.
My interest in you and your blog is/has been long term. I took the original Sketchbook Skool Beginnings class that you were a teacher in. Wonderful and inspiring stuff.
It is important that you are taking a break to take good care of yourself & to take good care of your eyes.
I suppose I can still take the By Design class, though, right? I originally thought I would take the Textures and then take By Design and use what I learned in Textures. But maybe I can take By Design now since it is an on demand class and you would not have to be involved- if I understand it correctly. (sending some healing energy in your direction)

By Design is still by-demand, sign up any time. Also my free Pamphlet class. You can find links to both here in the section of by-demand-classes.

Thanks for your interest and your kind wishes.
