In Context: Looking at the Arteza Watercolor Book Part 7

June 24, 2019
Using watercolor opaquely over a brush pen sketch on the Artezma Watercolor Book paper.

This is me using up left over watercolor paint and working opaquely (for the most part) in the Arteza Watercolor Book.

This paper is fine for working opaquely with either watercolor or gouache.

I find the paper is a bit draggy when working opaquely, especially with my watercolor flats. I find myself wishing I’d chosen to work on Fluid 100 or Fabriano Artistico or Strathmore 500 Series Mixed Media, all favorite papers of mine.

But then I remind myself I’m testing this paper.
