Introspection and Gratitude

May 27, 2019
Pen and watercolor sketch on Gutenberg (the OLD Gutenberg) which I’d bound into a book that was about 7 1/2 inches square.

Today’s image has nothing to do with Memorial Day. I simply like to post a sketch with each blog post.

I have written a post on Memorial Day pretty much every year I’ve had the blog. I think I’ve covered what I need to say about Memorial Day.

I have a lot to be grateful for.

Memorial day is an important day for reflection on what others have given (their lives; their time; their energy; their health) so that we can live in a free society.

How are we going to honor that?

Those freedoms are being threatened right now.

I’ll be spending some time today thinking about that.
