Follow Me on Instagram—During the Hiatus, the Interim, and Beyond

May 24, 2018
This is a gouache portrait I did on one of my odd surfaces—washi tape can be seen under certain areas of the dog’s features. The original is 13.5 x 16 inches tall. (No black paint was used in this painting.)

Yes I’ve been posting on Instagram. You can find me there under “rozstendahl.”

You can also go to the top of my blog and click on the Instagram logo in the top right; or go to the bottom panel that’s on every page of my blog, then click on the Instagram logo on the top right of that bottom page panel.

Why follow me on Instagram? Well even though I’m on a blogging hiatus right now I’m still posting on Instagram.

And I can’t really write much when posting on Instagram because it’s so inconvenient to type, so it might be a nice reading break for you after all those lengthy posts of mine you’ve read. (Yes, in the almost 10 years that I’ve been blogging I’ve actually received letters from people telling me to write less when I post. I laugh. They don’t really know me, do they? All they have to do is read less.)

I posted details of this painting on Instagram today because I was doing some computer housekeeping and thought it would be fun to cut the image up into squares. And then of course I wanted to post them, because who doesn’t like looking at close up photos of paint??

Anyway, if you want to see those detail images you’ll find them on Instagram.

Off to prepare for a webinar with my drawing students tonight. So much to talk about…
