By Design: Sign Up Anytime

November 9, 2016

Above: A page spread from one of my visual journals. During my By Design Class I address not only the component parts of a page, but the rationale behind making design decisions to create impact and organize your text and illustrations.

Since the beginning of September 2016 my By Design: Creating the Intentional Page Class has been open. You can sign up any time—it's a self-guided class.

You'll get lifetime access to over 7 hours of video lessons and classroom discussions. (See the FAQ for additional information.)

While this is a self-guided class I made a commitment to students to be in class answering questions every Friday through the first three months of offering the class (until November 30).

You still have time to sign up for this teacher-interactive version of the class. For the next 3 weeks I'll be checking in pretty much daily. (Who are we kidding? We all knew I couldn't stick to the Friday only check in).

After November 30 you can still sign up for this self-guided class, but it will be exactly that—self-guided. I'll check in a couple times a month to answer students questions, but I will not be giving the in-depth feedback and commentary I'm giving to students and their posted work during this introductory phase.

If you've been design curious and want to take your sketchbook pages to the next level now is the time to sign up for this economically priced class. (Note: the price of the class will NOT be discounted after November 30. Students registering now are receiving bonus interaction that a self-guided class doesn't bring.)

You can go to this post to see a short video about the class. (Please note that students have lifetime access to the classroom, not one year, as stated in the video.)

Students describe the class as "awesome, jammed pack." Once you register you'll be able to see what they mean by looking at past posts and extended discussions. Come and join the fun.

Hi, Roz. What will the price be going to after November 30?

Susan—paragraph 6 (not counting the caption) states that the price will NOT be discounted.

That means the price will always be the same as it is right now.

The difference is that for that low price of a self-guided class, right now you get teacher feedback. After November 30 you get a self-guided class with me only check on questions a couple times a month.

I priced this class low and did it as a self-guided class so it could run all the time. I think people should take it before they take my other classes! I love this class and it deals with aspects of design that you just can’t take time out of other classes to deal with. Anyway, this is my way of dealing with that, making it available at this great price.

Sorry, Roz. I took that sentence to mean that the current price is discounted but would no longer be discounted (would go up) after November 30. I agree, it is a great price, especially since I know firsthand how much you include in your curriculum. Sorry for the confusion. My bad.

No problem Susan, I pointed it out above so that you could find it. Others will come along and read the comments.
