The Day After Tomorrow

August 23, 2016

You all know what the day after tomorrow is right?

It's opener.

No not a fishing opener, or some sports opener. It's the best opener in the calendar of events.

Marty Harris has taken up the torch and is in charge of the EIGHTH GREAAT MINNESOTA STATE FAIR SKETCHOUT. (You can see the fabulous button he created—which you'll get when you show up at one of the meetings—at that link.)

There is also a Map to the Meeting Place at the same link.

There's no reason not to show up and sketch. And thousands of reasons to come and sketch.

Saturday, August 27 and Monday, August 29 come and sketch at the Eighth Great Minnesota State Fair Sketchout.

There are meetings BOTH DAYS at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to touch base with other sketchers, share work, and find a sketching buddy.

All skill levels are welcome. We want to see what catches your eye at the Fair. We want to hear your Fair Stories. Join in the fun. We'll meet in the outdoor food court between the Ag-Hort Building (Agriculture-Horticulture, you know, the building where the Crop Art Show hangs) and the Food Building. See the map of the meeting site at this link.

See you the day after tomorrow!

Have a wonderful time at the Fair Roz. As usual, your enthusiasm is infectious. I’m too far away to join you, but if I am ever free to travel, Minnesota will be on my list for this time of year.

I’m glad to hear that Susan and I hope you read my post from today about why I love the Fair. I hope someday you can come to the Fair here—it’s special!

Yes, I did read it. Actually I thought that I was replying to that post. Not sure how I ended up in this one. I’m looking forward to seeing your posts from the fair. Have fun!

Digital stuff is still a mystery to me, I never know for sure which page I’ll end up on!
