I’ve been swamped the last few days but here’s a selfie I did on January 1, 2016. After I returned from the zoo, I just wanted to do more sketching in that lovely journal with the now defunct printmaking paper.
Dick was too ill to pose for me. (I never caught his cold I’m happy to say.) So I walked into the bathroom, stood in front of the mirror, and started testing how my Carbon Black Ink felt-tipped brush pen worked on this paper.
Sadly the Carbon Black Ink soaks into the paper and leaves a rather dull look that seems weak compared to what the Pentel Brush Pens can on this paper.
I love this paper too much to spend any time working on it with tools that aren't as fun as other tools.
The book is about 8 x 8 inches square and turned vertically.
In December I did a long and involved project about "Coincidence." I'll show some of it at another time.
I had this one quotation left over. It was really too good a quotation to not get down on a journal page, so that it could end up in my index.
Leave it to Ian Fleming to see right into the dark heart of the matter.
