I'm still battling to see what to do with those eyebrows—to discover a visual vocabulary for them. And to deal with likeness. This does look like Dick in some respects, but not the ones that matter to me, so I'll keep working on it. I did something on the left page that I rarely do—I painted over another sketch. It was the warm-up sketch. Normally I leave everything no matter how badly it turned out, visible. But I found as I worked on the head started on the right page, that it grew onto the left page and I was so distracted by the warm up sketch that I had to paint it over. I can't remember much about it except that I left it pretty much barebones and didn't even try to push it. I only had so many minutes of Dick's time and couldn't waste it. I had used a couple different color pencils and that's probably why I didn't care if I went over it—now it won't smudge. I never have liked pencil on this paper, but sometimes I just have to retry it to check.
