Another Leuchtturm 1917 Sketchbook Brush Pen Sketch

August 25, 2014

Something about the surface drag on the Leuchtturm 1917 Sketchbook causes me to slow down and even enjoy hatching things like hair texture.

Some papers do that to us.

The paper buckled on the left edge because I did a ton of painting on the previous spread. The buckling with this 180 gsm paper is usually pretty minimal.

This short post is brought to you by my need to save my hands and shoulders for sketching at the Minnesota State Fair. I'll be back to writing volumes before you know it.

I am impressed by the range of distinctive faces you create with the brush pen.

Thanks Julana, these are all practice sketches from TV. I have to get back to life drawing coop! There have been too many family emergencies. I do love the various brush pens I’ve been using.
