Brett Bean: Check Out His Blog

June 23, 2011

I couldn't sleep last night so I went to look at the Drawing Club. I love the sketches they post there from the costumed model life-drawing nights!

I saw some sketches by Brett Bean and with a click on Google I was at his blog where there is a ton of cool stuff, but Bean also has this really fun animated gif of a dragon illustration that you really MUST SEE. Go check it out right now.

After you poke around his blog for a bit you can check out the list of "hugely talented art friends" and "inspirations." There's a lot to keep you busy.

I don’t think that second link is going to where you intend it to go. It takes me to the international fake journal month blog

Your link to Brett Bean’s animated GIF leads to the international fake journal web site.

Tom and Anita, thank you both for the heads up. I have gone into the post and inserted the CORRECT link to the dragon gif so you can recheck it now. Sorry for the confusion. That should tell me I should try to compose a post with links after my usual bedtime, at the same time I’m answering email and sending people other links!!!
Many thanks. Hope you enjoy Brett’s fantastic work!

Susan, so glad you enjoy the Drawing Club. I could spend hours there looking at stuff.

I couldn’t sleep last night either. I’ve been working on character sketching, and stumbled on “the Drawing Club” a week ago. I too, looked at this site last night. I’ve been enjoying your blog.

It strikes me you’d be a good character to sketch, but I’ll have to resort to one of the photos for the fake journalers – I live in Denver. Thanks for being there for me, in ways you didn’t know about.
