Monsters—But Don’t Be Afraid

Yesterday I bumped into a woman who makes Lolamade Monsters! Laura Holewa had two of her clay friends along with her. (Sadly my crispest photo chops a bit off one of the monsters, but I think the charm still comes through!)

Visit the artist's etsy site or facebook ( for more information about these clay figures and to order them. They are priced at $15.00 each.

They are exquisitely made. This woman knows how to form and smooth clay. Look at the detail. Everyone needs little friends like these to sit on her desk and tell her things are just fine (and fun).

Please note that Lolamade Monsters will be at Lyn-Lake Street Festival (at Lyndale and Lake Streets in Minneapolis) from noon to 7 on Sunday. Go pay Laura a visit and meet your new friends!

(Note: I am in no way financially associated with Lolamade. I just saw these and loved them and thought you might want to know about them.)

Hi Roz, sorry I forgot to write down my name with my info. My name is Laura Holewa and I am the artist behind Lolamade Monsters. I was a little caught off guard by the praise of the awesome staff at Wet Paint. Thanks so much for posting about me and the monsters. And you’re right don’t be afraid, they are very nice and simply want to be friends. Oh and, it’s Lyn Lake, as in Lyndale Ave. and Lake St. in Minneapolis. Thanks so so much for writing about me. It was a pleasure to meet you!

    Much love,
    Laura aka Lolamade

Laura, thanks for the introduction and clarifications! It was a pleasure to meet you and your friends and I hope that you have an incredibly successful day on Sunday!!!!!! (I don’t know why I wrote Lin—reading my scribbles, I was thinking Lyndale. I’ll fix that now!)
