Sketch Out Fun at Como Zoo on Sunday, March 6, 2011

March 5, 2011

Full post has details on this event.

Liz Carlson has started a sketch out group that will meet the first Sunday of the month, in different locations around the Twin Cities.

Sunday, March 6, noon to 3 p.m. is the first meeting at Como Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul, MN.

There is no stated first meeting location, but she suggests that people meet in the entrance lobby (the two share a common entrance) at then end of the sketch out, at 2:50 p.m., to share work and chat.

Como is a great place to sketch because you can work indoors if the weather is bad; you can sketch animals, or work in the Conservatory sketching plants and wedding parties gathering for photographs! Come and join other artists sketching the sights!

There is a $2.00 suggested donation for admission to Como. Parking is free (though you may have to drive around a bit to find a spot; be prepared to walk a bit from your car).

(Liz has started a group page on Facebook, but I can't give you a link to that today because it isn't loading in my browser right now. If you're on Facebook you can go to Liz Carlson and I'm sure there will be a link there.)
