Post contains details about the art call.
I just received this press release from a friend at the Bakken. I think it might be of interest to some of the Twin Cities' artists who read this blog. It says:
The Bakken is a one-of-a-kind museum exploring the mysteries of our electrical world that seeks to convey innovative means of generating electricity to demonstrate the value of sustainable, renewable and alternative energy sources to museum visitors.
Twin Cities' artists are invited to an Artist Open House on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to learn about a partnership between The Bakken Museum and Forecast Public Art to develop a Green Energy Art Garden. The project offers artists an opportunity to participate in a new creative enterprise that will transform the museum's rooftop terrace into a unique gallery. The garden will showcase seasonal and permanent works of art that display the electrical power potential in sun, wind and water, and will connect artists with scientists, inventors and engineers working in the field of renewable energy.
You need to RSVP for this event to Suzy Piper, Promotions Coordinator at piper@TheBakken.org, or call 612-926-3878, ext. 251
