See the full post for Ken’s great sketch of all my sketching gear!
Left: The incredible Ken Avidor captured me and my sketching gear at the Second Annual Minnesota State Fair Sketch Out in his journal!
I love it when a plan comes together and I love it even more when more than one plan comes together at the same time.
That happened on Saturday, when artist Ken Avidor captured me in his journal (Project Journal Infiltration) at the sketch out (sketch outs!). There were a couple other folks looking at me a little too intently so either I had corn dog crumbs on my chin or there will be some more PJI sketches coming along any time now!
If only someone had sketched me sketching the rooster…now that gives me an idea, what about a conga line of sketchers each sketching the sketcher(s) in front of him/her? That's one for the Guinness Book of World Records isn't it? Longest conga line of sketching artists! Sounds like another plan.
In the meantime, if you haven't been to the Fair, WHY? Get there and sketch.
And if you want to know how to dress for the fair in more detail, check out my post from last year on the subject. I know it appears as if I am trying to make a fashion statement, when in fact there is a reason behind every wardrobe choice!
And thank you again Ken! I love having this record of my time at the Fair!
