The Minnesota State Fair opens today!
Ken Avidor graciously consented to design a button for this year's sketch out. He used a painting by his wife Roberta Avidor, from a previous Fair. Very cool!
I've had the buttons made up—2.25 inches! I will be giving them free to sketchers at the sketch out. (Supplies are limited so I recommend you show up at the 1 p.m. meeting if you want to be sure to get a button.)
Can't make it to the sketch out? Are you going to sketch at the Fair on another day? Send me a jpg of one of your sketches made from life at the Minnesota State Fair 2010. I'll post your image up on Urban Sketchers—Twin Cities where we'll be posting sketches from the other participants. You can pick up a button at the September MCBA Visual Journal Collective meeting (while supplies last).
Let's capture the Fair in all its variety and fun, on paper!
Don't forget the sunscreen!
